Kinship Care
Angelheart
Angelheart is honored to serve kinship families caring for relative children while in the custody of the State of Texas until permanency is achieved.
The goal of The Department of Family and Protective Services in Texas is to support rehabilitation and family reunification. This means placing children with known relatives such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, cousins, etc. Placing children with known relatives allows for a sense of normalcy and connection to the biological family.
Angelheart is honored and proud to serve kinship families who are serving relative children while in custody of the State of Texas until permanency is achieved.
Kinship care allows relative caregivers to experience support through case management, as well as trauma informed care training to help navigate the needs of the children in their care. As a licensed kinship family, caregivers also receive financial support and the verification required to achieve permanency if reunification with biological parents is not an option.
